Thank you for the fine details and great pics of your installation. 
I am in an area that the only higher speed i can get is a cell phone and its expensive and not much better than dial. 
I have a Wilsons dual band cell amp and a yagi antenna. Wondering if these in combo with a set up like you describe of router and dish would help me?there are a couple different wifi sellers in the area and neither will even come look at where I am .We are on a pretty good hill but there are woods etc. 
Thanks again for the article on Other Power and dont the scolding that other poster gave you to heart. A lot of those guys just go there to be critical of anything other than what they post!! 
PS if you have anymore info on self setup wifi please steer me to it. </description>
