Closeup of the gear on top of the Tusas WiFi Tower.

Pictured in the foreground is a 18dBi mini grill from pacwireless.com

In the background is a 18dBi Roo Tenna which doubles as housing for the router.

On the top rung, at twenty feet up we welded a ring to hook the harness to.

It isn’t very a high tower, but the rocks below are treacherous.

On this side the 18dBi Roo Tenna with a Mikrotik router inside. See: http://www.routerboard.com/

Pictured above, is a Mikrotik RouterBOARD 333

3 ethernet ports, 3 micro PCM/CIA slots for radio cards, and PowerPC E300 333MHz QUICC2 Pro

I actually have a MikroTik RouterBOARD 215 in my system. This has 2 mini PCM/CIA slots and one ethernet port.

The Tusas tower is on the Crestone (ridge) about a mile from our houses and 400 feet higher.

The tower is one section of 20 foot square steel tubing with a 5 foot round mast inserted a foot into the square tube on top.

The rungs are 1 inch square steel tubing welding in place. Guy wire is 800 pound 1/4 inch stainless steel, anchored with 1/2 inch steel rebarr to concrete hidden in crevasses of the rock.
