Tusas 2010 Camp

Cell phones make pretty good pictures as evidenced here with Danny’s Evening Tusas shot.

Good Morning

Above, Dumpster, one of the Rainbow Gathering guys sits atop the old school bus in the meadow. If Dumpster is an example of the caliber of person that attends the Rainbow Gathering, then it must be an outstanding event.
Below, another image from Danny’s phone shows Kevin doing god-knows-what to the stereo system. Yep, that’s a Mac laptop, running the music at Tusas, pretty neato huh? Also in this picture, is the 12 volt black-light, yeah after buying it four years ago, I finally had my ducks in a row well enough this year to set the black-light up by the stereo. It wasn’t nearly as cool as the LED Abyss, but it was a nice added touch in my opinion.

The Maypole sat looking like the below photo all weekend, we were so busy; there was never a dull moment Tusas weekend, then something wonderful happened Monday morning, the whole Rodgers family gathered in the meadow around the Maypole, with a bit of instruction we wove in, out, up and down, each with a beautiful ribbon in hand twirling around the Maypole.

I already posted the photos of the May-pole in action, so I will continue with more images from Ken, Elisabeth, and Ava downloaded from Facebook. See Facebook has redeeming values.

Serena and Nell giggle as the wee little ones bat at the Piñatas Saturday morning.

If I had to guess I’d say this is an upside down Serena on the Tusas zip-line, oh yeah, and the mini-tee-pee from Austin’s friend Spencer. From this angle you can’t see the hand-painted artwork on the canvas. No wait. Now that I took my eyes off her boobies, I can see the cast on her foot, and actually don’t know her name, maybe someone can help make me not seem the dirty old man here.
Anyway, and that may not be possible, grin. After talking to mom and my brother I want to emphasis to them that this was the best camp ever. Sure there are always people who drink too much and get crazy, but these were minor compared to the wealth of positive vibrations from the Tusas crowd.
It was incredible. Still Tusas is stressful for those who host, especially for Clara and Henry who are the ultimate reason this party is allowed to continue. Perhaps if attendees wanted to send Clara a note of thanks, it might cheer her up.

Welcome
Spring is here and the Rodgers family are looking forward to another wonderful camp in our forest here in northern New Mexico.
First thing is a map for those who are new to our camp-out-party.
