Chap 6. Thy Will Be Done

This sermon, Thy Will Be Done, challenges the Rational Brain more than the Feeling Brain, but it is important because it challenges some premises behind some major wars, and a genocide going on right now.

One thing that Christians should object to strongly, is people doing evil, and claiming that it is God’s will.

Liberal Christians take the bible seriously, but not literally.  They should be able to pick and choose as to which stories they will respect and which they will discard.  One story that I reject is that of the coin in the fish’s mouth (Mt 17.27).  My premise here is: Jesus did not perform miracles simply to amaze – or to impress.  He performed miracles to relieve suffering.
