Wow and what a morning it is.
Nell is getting ready to drive her new car to work. I don’t think she can believe it. BTW Nell hasn’t smoked for twelve days.
More questions than answers. We’ve got to decide about the other vehicles. The Dodge Dually hasn’t been on the road in a year, yet we have had it insured the whole time. The White Blazer won’t be used, but do we scrap it? Save it for snow days? Nell can drive the Jeep when it snows, because I usually do not work in the snow; usually.
The car looked great, I still haven’t decided what color it is. Sort of a metallic blue-green.
After the transfer of the title Austin and I went to Home Depot. It was neat to work with Austin in the aisles of the hardware store. We designed and picked out $280 worth of plumbing parts. We should have enough to plumb the propane from the existing gas line to the new water heater in what used to be Jack’s bedroom, as well as under the house to the other side of the kitchen where Austin has relocated the cook stove.
We also selected enough galvanized steel pipe to plumb the hot and cold water into and around the new bathroom. Most of the plumbing is Sharkbite PEX and we bought 20 to 30 new fittings for that part as well. So green powder-coat steel gas line, flex pipe for behind the stove and to feed the water heater. We should be able to get hot water working in that house for the first time ever.
I still have two other projects I want to do up here before it gets any colder. One is pour a footing for a front porch for the rental house. I’ll need to itemize expenses I suppose for my sister so she sends money from that insurance claim.
We need to do a little excavating where the foundation is going for our new bedrooms. We’re getting very close to moving the kitchen into the Shell. When we do we’ll need our new stove plumbed with gas line. Currently the gas line goes directly to the trailer, which needs to be removed before demolition. We’re thinking our gas-line project is complicated and needs to be done by the gas company so it is off and relocated as quickly as possible
That is my report, now I need to call the insurance company and have collision coverage for our new gem and remove the coverage for the two other vehicles. The bummer is the insurance company reports to the DMV and that has a cascade effect which makes me have to deal with the local DMV to put a hold on the registration for those two vehicles!
Oh well, everything is going to be alright
