Another hair cut
Another hair cut; shortest ever

Good Morning

Happy birthday Aunt Margie

Something wacky happened to the BMN this morning. The bottom line is I'm starting from scratch. Probably for the better, it wasn't really positive. Anyway, I have some pics.  We got a little sprinkle last night around midnight, so that was good.

August3rd2012Garden  Our garden is doing fairly well. Gophers are messing with the potatoes in this area.  Luckily we have several potato beds.

August3rd2012-closing-in  Most of the day yesterday was spent fighting off whatever illness Nell brought home from the doctors' office where she was filling in this week.  In between naps, I managed to pull the area where the entertainment system was apart again and clean it well enough to custom fit a treated 2X6 12 feet long placed in the bottom. It is glued in place with expanding foam, then held down with three 2X4s, plumbed and true, or so I hope. I suppose it doesn't matter, but this will be the wall separating what is currently the living-room with the section we'll build when the rest of the trailer is demolished.

August3rd2012-simplify  We're still removing stuff from our living space to make room for construction. Yesterday I got one more desk out. Nell is setting up a studio in the semi trailer.

August3rd2012-closing-in-bottom  Above you can see the bottom of the new wall. I'll trim the excess foam out and fill the space left by the big wooden beam with concrete. I'm going back and forth trying to figure out what to do about the concrete floor in the bathroom; whether I can make the concrete myself, or if due to a lack of laborers get a truck load of ready mix. I like the slower  speed of making the concrete here, but I suppose I can get it all ready for a big pour.

After the Internet gave me headaches earlier I thought okay, we'll go for a hike, but he was already gone.

Hope you have a great weekend
