Good Morning
Yeah, I have an awesome job.
I do get around. I think the train goes through Vegas around 11:30AM, this one heading south through Sheridan. I was on a roof as usual, but in a very interesting location. This place was once a stage coach stop on the Santa Fe Trail. The have a huge flagstone cistern next to the house. I should have taken a picture, but I heard the "woo woo," and got all excited about the choo choo train.

The first picture was from the end of my work day, near Canyoncito, at a place called Foxworks. The have all kinds of weird sculptures in the field for the passersby to see, mostly gigantic spiders.

Today is Friday, thank you Jesus. I can get back to my projects tomorrow. Not that my projects are any more important or fun than Desertgate's. Obviously we need all the work we can get. Tomorrow I''ve got to continue plumbing the kitchen and bath. We'll need hot and cold water to the lavatories as well as the drains. Maybe that is obvious, but this part-time plumber isn't all "pop, pop, pop," with the brilliance and cleverness, especially after one of these three day work stints for Desertgate.

The backhoe will return on Saturday, so I've got to get the plumbing laid out precisely and sealed up, because what I want to do next is back-fill the floor with sand and gravel from the river. While we're down at the river with the loader, I'm hoping to work on the sand pit, creating a ramp for access. Also, I want to do a little bit of work on the river bank, hopefully creating better access to the other side so we can repair the erosion undercutting the big willow tree and put the fence back up.

I don't know how much time I can dedicate to the plumbing, because the river project may just be too much fun. Actually the only thing better would be if I could run the little tractor loader. I don't do so well as a bystander, director.

So that's it really

Have a great weekend
