Good Morning
This morning I've been screwing around with the Add Link to Facebook App, unsuccessfully, nevertheless, it has used up most of the morning. I want to get out to the "Pit" and break out some more rocks before it gets ungodly hot. So, this BMN will be a quick progress report.

TheShell-June26th-2012

(TheShell-June26th-2012)  The northeast side is getting down where I want it. Today I'll see if I can get the other corners down to a similar level.

TheShell-June26th-2012-pipe

(TheShell-June26th-2012-pipe) I also got a little dirt and rock out from under the sewer pipe, which dropped it six inches. It is down to solid rock under this corner. The plan for the foundation where it isn't below the frost line is to clean off the bedrock and drill several holes for steel rebar and simply cement the concrete to the bedrock. It works, this is the method we used to hold the wind turbine tower anchor points to the bedrock where it wasn't deep enough to get the mass up enough to hold the tower up.

TheShell-June26th-2012-Afternoon-light

(TheShell-June26th-2012-Afternoon-light) I am sort of formulating a plan, now that I have been in this space during different parts of the Summer day. The kitchen essentials will be in the northwest corner overlooking the valley. The lavatory will be in the southeast corner. I had considered putting the laundry room in this space as well, but now that I've been working out there I think it is better where it is. We just need our kitchen ASAP. If anything else needs a place to be, it would be the shower, that way we could tear out the back part of the trailer and be done with it. At this point though, I'm uncertain a shower will fit. It is possible that the Shell could be 20 by 12 instead of 16 by 12. There may be space for it.
Dig dig dig
The more I dig the better I like what is happening to our new space and the added benefit is I am bulging with muscles, and our driveway is getting a facelift.
Generally speaking, this is my idea of heaven

P.S. I'll manually post this to Facebook, I had to deactivate Add Link to facebook, there were too many error messages. I couldn't work like that.
There weren't a lot of people using the WordPress – Facebook connector, so I don't guess it will be a big loss. I had thought with mobile apps for Facebook I'd get more comments on my site, alas not really.

Go to the Avebury henge about 20 miles up the road. Not only is it not as crowded but the stones are spread out and surround the whole village. Unlike Stonehenge, which is only opened for the solstice, you can walk right up to the stones and touch them any time at Avebury. And there are other stone rings throughout Great Britain, they just aren't as dramatic as Stonehenge. Mary Beth

If you haven't already looked at the annual report from MSMEC, better check it out.  At the annual meeting this Sat., Mora School Gym, 9:00-12:00 there is a proposal up for a vote to expand the board from five to seven members (again).  These people never quit.
Please pass the word.  We need a big turn-out to vote it down AGAIN.

    Hi Brian,
I don’t usually feel any need to comment, but as one of those crazies in the 80 degree heat in the triathlon or something, I’d like to note that’s what we are evolved to do.  After all, we spent thousands of generations running on the African savannah, trying to kill supper or escape the next-door badies.  Among the things which clearly add to our health and enjoyment of life, outdoor exercise must be darn near tops.  Ask any participant, it was tough and also a celebration.
