Killer Monday, How is Everybody?

No seriously, How is everyone?

I think I'll live, damn gout is in my left foot, right in the middle near the ball. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Gout usually afflicts the toes. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a combination of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gout that article seems to suggest not RA, just gout. Anyway, what's to be done that I am not doing? Over the years I have tried everything I heard of. The only thing I've learned for certain, is gout sucks.  It is consistent too,  becoming worse as I get older, and I am tired of it.

I downloaded a 3D House designer program that works in Linux, meaning it is free.

At first glance Sweet Home 3D looks really fine.  More importantly for this old worn out computer geek, is that it looks simple, so far it did everything I asked and I didn't need to look at the directions, plus plus star.

I'll mess around with it some today. This pain is bearable at the moment, but the issue is I don't know what the next hour will bring, which makes it tough to plan out my day.

I need to get the WVO collection gear loaded  up in the Jeep and go to town and suck up some grease. Two problems with this plan, one the stupid foot is a ball and chain, second, both of the deep cycle batteries I was switching in and out of use for driving the oil pump have reached the end of their useful lives and won't hold a charge. No big deal, a deep cycle battery  from WalMart is around $80 last time I checked, but I don't think my foot is up to a trip to the far corner of WalMart to get one of the heavy batteries.

Yep, I seem to be stifled at every turn.

On a cheerier note it rained yesterday. Wait, that didn't come out as cheery as I meant it.

Yeah, no, it rained! Well it hadn't in a while, so that is good. It rained on me while I worked on RV roofs and whatnot way up in the mountains near Rociada NM, probably around 9000 feet above sea level. I was a little close to the lightening and thunder at the altitude, but I had a job to do, and I did it for 11 straight hours! Good thing this gout only ached a little at that point. I do have plenty to be grateful for.

Clamatis-June2012

Clematis-June2012  – The rain didn't amount to much. One client I worked for had a superduper weather gauge system, and he measured a whooping 32/100ths of an inch of rain. That was the second day I got to use my new rain jacket. The material is some kind of weird Kevlar, it feels a little like paper. It is called Frog Toggs, the literature suggests it is breathable and waterproof. I can attest to these boasts. It was windy while it was raining, and the wind was going through the material while the water wasn't. If I had two seconds to hold together I would have dug a sweat shirt out of the Jeep, because it was pretty damn cold, alas I didn't stop at all.

Kiddingly I mentioned to Eric my boss, that there was a time not long ago that I would have cherished sitting out a rainstorm in my vehicle smoking a fat cigar, but, and there always seems to be a but, I am holding out well with my not smoking routine. I slogged forth in the driving rain, up and down my ladder, trying to figure out what the heck was wrong with a WiFi relay station at the RV Park.

Okay, I gotta try and get on with my day, regardless of my handicap
