Nell's foot looks better than ever, well ever since I've seen it.The swelling is gone, toes are relaxed and positioned more naturally. We're all very happy with the results of this latest surgery. She still can not put weight on it and it has to stay in the boot for another several weeks. Next week the doctor will remove the stitches, and we'll get as Nell asked, her marching orders.
She is worried about her job, something the doctors don't understand or can't do anything about. She already took months off for this foot surgery and we don't think missing any more work is an option. Ready or not, she goes back to work Monday. The future looks a hell of a lot better than it did a month ago.
Best-foot-so-far Pins and screws hold the new plate on the side of her foot. You can imagine the anxiety level over here in Las Tusas. Lately it seems, we're the kings and queens of trauma/drama
Of course that is the little incision The big one is on the other side of the foot
(Garret-Jeep-turbo) The new turbo for the Jeep is here. This weekend I will install it, a process that I am not looking forward to. Some of the nuts and bolts were only reachable with fingertips. I swear, I have so much automotive anxiety right now I don't know if I'm happy, sad or insane. At times like these I wish we lived in a society that promoted rural mass transit.
(Garret-Jeep-turbo) Anyway, this is what I'll be doing this weekend, in between caring for Nell. I may be making dinner with greasy hands though.
(Greenhouse2012-broccoli) Pathetic batch of seedlings so far, no doubt a sign of too many irons in the fire at the same time. Well for me too many.
Greenhouse2012-Asparagus So far a couple of the seedlings from last year have returned. The whole timing thing with plants is a touch more than I can cope with. I need less projects or more people.
Tusas-Tee-shirt-design-by-Sara The original design was an Aztec calendar, she added the Tusas lettering, and year. Then she cowboyed it up with the stars! and brought it back home with feminine flowers. Absolutely gorgeous. I'm hoping Adam Caldwell can come up with metallic silk screen ink
