BMN Camp Babyshower Almoonak

Brian's Morning Newsletter

Labor Day, Monday September 6th 2010

My late Sister Jill's Almoonak, brought to us by Nell's Cousin Barbara. I will be posting photos through out the coming weeks
Good Morning
The baby shower for Jona and Sara was a huge success. We had it in the Plaza Hotel Conservatory (I think it is called) The combination of our worn-out camera and the skylight being covered my photos came out poorly. I suppose it is to be expected. So I doctored a few, and here they are.

Obviously above we have Nell and Sara, I will try to do better in the next few images.

Anita Benson, her mother Orolynn, Sara and Rob Jona's dad.

My lovely daughter Brittany, Orolynn and Jim Benson in the background, and Anita again.

Ohhh, Baby Monitor.

Nell's sister Sandy and her husband Jim

All weekend long we've had Austin's and Brittany's friends out in the Central Meadow camping. So yeah this has been a whirlwind weekend. I'm blurry from exhaustion. Again I didn't drink, which it appears to becoming a habit with my behavior. I am so very happy with myself.  I stayed up to a reasonable hour drinking coffee and having the most amazing conversations with people, and remembering everything.   I don't know why it took so long to come to this state of being.

Eric DJ'd Friday and Saturday nights, creating unbelievably cool sounds throughout the night. The weather was cool, and very dark. It wasn't until Saturday night that we got the LED Abyss stage lighting effect setup, for unknown reasons the 12 volt to 110 volt inverter wouldn't switch on and after Austin and Kevin hauled all six heavy deep cycle batteries back there and set them up. Yeah bummer, but we had Jimmy's generator, and it was amazingly quiet.

There was a nice turnout for Austin's camp, we cooked and cooked and cooked more. I didn't camp, but I still had a lot of fun, and no doubt today a good portion of my time will be in helping those tired guys break camp, and sigh, haul those batteries back.
Yeah Austin and Ameila did a really nice job of putting on this camp party.
Thank you guys, I had so much fun
