BMN, workiwork, Rain, wealth, ours?

Brian’s Morning Newsletter for Wednesday July 22nd 2009

Ol’ Claude got lucky this morning. Good thing the struggling artist decided to stick that sunrise in there, eh?
I worked two days in a row. Wow! I know, good for me. There is a possibility I may get to work again today, Ill know in a couple of hours, my fingers are crossed. I still haven’t heard from the turbo repair guy, this may be a blessing as I really do want to move forward and try out an American truck, for a change. Slowly but surely we are saving cash to put toward either the turbo or the Dodge whichever comes first wins the prize. I first, but truthfully the more time which passes with the turbo deal the less likely a positive outcome for the Isuzu.

Let’s see, what else to talk about this morning? Wealth is what I was talking about to Nell this morning, not the conspicuous-consumption type of wealth I’ve seen around Las Vegas doing installations. No this type of wealth makes me want to keep it secret. In place of the big screen televisions are elegant works of art, much like the Monet pictured above, except cooler because I know the artist of at least one of the pieces. I hope this description was tantalizing enough because I really ought to respect people privacy.

Since Duke is our neighbor and long time friend I think I can show you all what I found when we rounded an exquisite flagstone path on site.

Kind of awe inspiring, the whole day. I guess everyone isn’t struggling financially, hell, maybe its just us, I don’t know anything with any certainty, except what my eyes see. I’m grateful for what my eyes see, as well as for all I get to to hold. I’m happy to say that in between working on the technical issues at this home I was able to sit and admire this art as well as some very impressive and expansive views.

I keep telling myself that it is time to burn off some calories which I’ve been accumulating. Yeah, there are plenty of ill side effects to my newfound hobby, baking.  Damn ironic that  with confectionery prowess is totally addicting from both sides of the oven. Yeah man, I’ve got my cookie recipe down perfectly and it is incredibly difficult not to eat cookies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Right, I need to burn some damn calories, and one thing I am learning about energy, from our wind turbine is periodic energy consumption with a consistent energy input is the goal we try and shoot for, not the other way around, like my thing with the cookies, whereas I sporadically exorcise, and eat cookies nonstop.

Damn these life lessons. Who would have thought that conservation of energy laws would apply to our daily lifestyles?

Anyway, I got to go, just got a call from the Desertgate duo, they can use me again today, thank the gods.
See ya tomorrow then.
