Good Morning
Ah shoot, I’m too tired to know, but I think these pictures from Austin and Amelia could be very hurtful. Nah!

St. Criox
Damn you kids!

I mean, the nerve of them having all this fun, while the Tusas crew, works our poor, poor fingers to the quick.
Horno-Tusas-
It wasn’t all back breaking work, well mostly it was, but it was cool because now the pipe dream of having an wood fired oven and horno for Memorial day weekend is fast becoming a reality.
Meanwhile…
Saint Croix
Yuk it up over there, Amelia, you’ll be back next week, and we will have our chance to…
Horno-Tusas-
See? We’re having a whole heck of a lot of fun too. And just look at the size of that bolder we sunk in the ground. I was sure how these pictures were going to turn out, after all we were virtually digging dirt and rock out of the ground and putting it all back it the ground, albeit, in a very specific way.
Auz-Mel
What can I say about this picture that it doesn’t perfectly explain?
Tusas-Horno-
Another picture of the giant hole in the ground, this time with giant rocks filling it up, hmmm? How can I go on?
Saint Croix
Sigh.
Britt and crew
Thank god, Britt and her crew showed up and spelled us after we dug the frickin hole, cause we were beat. Above they mix adobe, which is a combination of clay, straw, and normally sand, we didn’t use sand on the lower layer, but we will today.

On the boat
Amelia gets to sail the boat? Now we are really envious.
Tusas-Horno-
Here we have the wood heater set into the adobe. The idea is that the adobe acts as a thermal mass, after a while the heat from the stove will be transfered to the oven which we’ll build above the stove. We have a few more surprises to build here.

We’ll see what today brings
Bueno bye
